Before you draft a formal application for your visa, you need to apply for a Victorian visa nomination from the Victorian Government, which involves three steps.
Submit
Submit an ‘Expression of Interest’ (EOI) to the Department of Home Affairs’ via the SkillSelect external link and nominate ‘Victoria’ as your preferred destination.
Step 01
Register
Register as a user and complete your application. You will need to prepare the following documentation and upload it directly.
Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) Business Innovation Stream Nomination Conditions form.
Appointment of an Agent/Representative form (if applicable)
An e-commerce and Export Business Overview form if you propose to undertake an export or an e-commerce activity

Step 02
Visa Nomination
If you receive a ‘visa nomination’ from the Victorian Government, an automatic invitation will be sent to you by SkillSelect. It is advised that you lodge a formal visa application with the Department of Home Affairs within 60 days of receiving that.
